Anthony Gordon as MOTM for me. I said earlier in the season that I thought he had a good chance of making it. I'll revise that now, he will definitely make it, he will be a good premier league player for sure, but, his ceiling is very high. He is still very raw and his decision making needs to improve, but, his touch is excellent and he has a great burst of acceleration, he is also an aggressive type of a lad. I really think he can go all the way if he applies himself, unfortunately, I'm not sure if it will be with us. If we go down and stay down for a couple of seasons, I think we would find it difficult to hold on to Gordon.

I thought Mykolenko was very good again as well, he seems to grow into the team with every game. It was disappointing to lose by two goals today, but, Liverpool have destroyed many better teams than us this season and if we had shown the fight and desire that we showed today in a few of our other games, we would not be in the position we are at the moment.
Agree with all that about Gordon, but unfortunately his finishing is so poor. We look toothless up front, god knows where the goals are going to come from if we’re to survive.

Commentary team chatting about the subs changing the match. It was the foul on Gordon from TAA when he had a clear path to goal in front of him. 0-0 at that point.

Decent enough battle in parts, just rushed our chances in the final 3rd when we got them. Probably the better team in the 2nd half until their goal.

But it all counts for nothing now. I’d be dropping Gray for Rondon and pushing Richarlison out wide for the rest of the season.
It’s madness Allan got sent off against Newcastle for the same sort of foul.

At 0-0 we could of had a penalty which the leaders of referees has said they would of had no complaints about. That would of changed the whole game

Yeah, I hear you - you are right; admittedly my comment was very flippant and generalizing and a bit dismissive and what you rightly point out are very legitimate instances that could have possibly made a difference in our season. I fully agree we should have had a pen today (would it have mattered, who knows); a pen against City (same question), Allan red card was a yellow all day long.

But I don't think it's "corruption". Big team bias? Yeah maybe, but when's it ever been any different?! Almost every club in the league cries that. I do not dispute we've been on the wrong end of things, but it's the "extreme suggestion" that a bunch of suits are meeting in a dark, smokey room in secret like some 1990s X-Files episode, plotting our demise and setting the wheels in motion that makes me chuckle - especially when we've made mistake after mistake for fuch knows how long.

The illogical ranting and raving I have no time for. Your well-measured and well-put comment I'm largely in agreement with, to a degree, but not to the point it's "the man behind the curtain" that is taking us down.
I can see where your coming from, but there is something to be said about the decisions we aren’t getting in relation to our position in the league.

A penalty today that we score to go one nil would have been absolutely massive at that stage of the game, and could have made them flap it in and we get an unlikely win - perhaps it would have kicked them on and they tonk us regardless, but i would have liked to have seen a fair decision and consistency win the day, not the corruption that we are witnessing.

A Pen and possible point against city a few weeks ago makes a massive difference to how we go into the next games mentally and for our belief in the stands and the squad, and could have played a huge part in how these cowardly crabs we have would have performed going forward, and we have several more points on the board than we do now. That chance was stolen from us.

Then the half arsed apology after the fact is a further slap in the face, no doubt to be followed up by another apology after todays cheating - it’s not good enough.

Look at what mane and Alexander Arnold got away with today - we would have had players sent off for those incidents, it’s bent, how else can you explain it?

I don’t blame any evertonian for thinking it’s blatant corruption against us or that the decisions are linked to our strong outspoken stance against the scab 6 after the ESL.

I agree this biasdness and cheating has been very much assisted by our general shiteness this season, following the appointment of that fat Spanish kopite fraud, but it’s more than just ourselves, and that’s what sticking in the craw.

I'm honestly surprised that anybody who isn't a rs, citteh, Chelsea or man u fan actually funds Sky with their bias and how they've utterly ruined the sport. Sports fans should NOT buy sky.

Then again there are enough idiots to vote tories in to government so perhaps I'm being optimistic.
My nephew knows some way of getting loads of stations gratis and legally - I need to talk to him. Fed up with Sky. Might miss some matches but so flipping what

I can explain it very easily:

The ref didn't want to get death threats or have bullets sent to him, so even if he didn't make a conscious choice to favour LFC (and I'm very open to the fact he may have done: cc going across to check Gordon had placed the ball on the right blade of grass for a corner - when have you last seen a ref do that), he still had 50,000 bloody thirsty people he had to "appease" for want of a better term. It's not 'right' but it's nothing less than I expected, and it's happened time and time before. Therefore objectively explainable.

As for VAR, could they this, should they that. We know it's random. Always has been. One day some gimp wants to decide he wants to show off his powers of scrutiny and find a stud out of place on Allan's lunge or spend 7 minutes drawing a line to show a nose hair offside; the next day some other random gimp wants the game to flow and doesn't want to get involved in "clear and obvious" because his deliveroo has just arrived and the fat cnut is hungry.

No matter who goes up or gets relegated, or wins a trophy or misses out on one, gets 3 points (or a shot a 3 points) or takes nothing; every club will feel aggrieved. I've never seen VAR as a "solution" to big team bias, just another layer to it. But that's not why we're 18th after 32 games, and it's not why we'll go down.

Subs and yellows to our midfield cost us.

Once they went 4-2-4, we needed to bring off Doucoure or Allan for Branthwaite to help the defence.

Dele sub was desperate and this move/experiment has utterly failed.

Mina has to come back in, we need to continue with 4-3-3 and I hope we can get DCL back.
