All down to corruption apparently...

"Corrupt as [Poor language removed]. Attwell spent about three days trying to disallow Chiesa's goal whilst dismissed the Trippier handball and Joelinton assault in five seconds flat."

"I listed a few of Atwells recent horror calls against us before the game as I was worried, we can add another to the list now. Luckily it's fine as all fanbases think refs are against them and all officials have "professional pride" so it won't happen again I'm sure."

"Newcastle had 34% possession but the foul count was 14-10 in their favour. We are the only team on the planet that happens to."

"Joelinton escaped a card yet again despite assaulting Elliott and committing numerous other fouls."

"You know it’s [Poor language removed] up when even the commentators including rat boy are questioning var taking over 3 minutes to decide that. You have to be a special kind of dumb to think the don’t use bias at this point."

"you have to doubt the integrity of the officials after that. The handball is blatant and stops Diaz having a 1 on 1, the prolonged VAR absolutely kills any momentum whilst they struggled to find a reason to disallow it and then Joelinton gets away with GBH"

"They invented a new out today having your hand away from your body and flicking the ball away from an opponent is apparently fine against Liverpool as long as it aids your balance."
Wow...just wow

Any blue slagging winning the league cup off is a proper bellend.
100 %

I know my dad went to 77, I remember 84 and the replay as a kid, I remember how disappointed I was after losing to Arsenal in 88 went out with a whimper. The disappointed with our other semi final defeats. The City one tut tut. We need to be winning it next year.

They are absolutely deluded. Precedent was set when konate basketballed the ball away from Beto and it was fine.

Joelintons was likely a yellow, but clearly they don’t know the rules. Var could only get the ref to give a red, which is wasn’t, so they couldn’t.

Only surprise is they didn’t get a scabby pen for one of Van Dicks pathetic dives.

I went to the 3 finals in '77 and the '84 final. I would have been happy if we'd won, but the disappointment when we didn't was nowhere near the same as losing the FA Cup final. It's nice to win and I'm happy for the decent Newcastle fans ( there actually are some) but it's just not that important due to the fact that it was invented in the '60s so it doesn't have the same heritage as the FA Cup, it's not taken seriously by any of the bigger clubs until the semis, they've abolished replays and then extra time and it's often talked about as getting rid of the competition. If we won it great but mainly because we've never won it and it would tick that box.

Amazed to see Newcastle fans describing yesterday as ‘the best day of their life’. Really??
Best day of my life was the brian Labone testimonial, beating the rs.
I swore I'd never shed a tear for that shower before that palace game....I did.
Football is very emotional.
Remember that corner of England has been 💩 on just as much as ours, football was their only escape.
