Alternatively what did you want him to say?

If it gets a few of them to man up finally in a Derby then good on him for saying it
Well he had the chance to get them to man up in December and they didnt come out for the second half.

In the last 5 seasons we've only managed to score once (barring Distin's disallowed goal in April 2013) at anfield to their 11 goals. That is a disgrace. We never have a go at them, far too timid from the off, it's about getting at them, winning the ball and doing the right thing with it which we don't do enough of.

Is it really though? Can't think of a team this year that's 'had a go at them' at Anfield and came off better for it tbh.

They're at their best when teams do come out and attack.

Won't be watching this, going on a long walk instead. Have spent many years watching us be terrible at Anfield and bored of it now.

Feeling very similar. Nearly talked myself into believing this morning before the realisation set in that we'll be all over the place again.

At best we'll probably cling onto a draw but it'll be brutal viewing.

Incredible. Considering we were playing such free flowing and fearless football.

True that, Klopp gets wound up when teams dont have a go as he cant get around it, United and the moaning he did afterwards being a good example

Definitely, if anyone thinks we're going to play open football and win 3-1 then you're just not thinking logically.

Trouble is though.. since 1970 (bar a few years in the 80s) we've had such an inferiority complex that even scoring a goal was an achievement at times. We'd come out the changing rooms, batter them black and blue for 20 minutes trying to get the upper hand, they'd withstand the onslaught and somehow, whether they deserved it or not (and usually when they didn't because the rest of the time they'd batter us anyway) something would break their way (Gary Mc, Kuyt, Poll's non-goal, Hansen's handball at Wembley, Nevin chopped down in the box (though we won that cup tie, eventually, after the 4-4 replay) Thomas, Clattenb.., Atkinson etc etc etc.)

So all I ask for is (1) a change of attitude (2) a change of fortune (3) something we deserve from the game if we give 100%
