There was/is a really funny ATC who does compilations on youtube, that's entertaining.

Why do people watch planes all day? Is it in the hope that they get to watch one crash? I don't get it.

some people like to go to the beach to watch the waves and hear the sounds. I'll admit, it's soothing, I but something about that frequency chatter and the smell of jet fuel just does it for me. Pull up a lawn chair and pop open a coors in South Dallas and watch them big beauties fly in.

Was driving past Sydney airport today & had some spare time from work. Called in at Shep's Mound, been meaning to do it for years. It's an area where you can park your car & there are a couple of viewing platforms. Very relaxing to sit for an hour with a coffee.
