Disagree. He's always played well and the difference has just been whether his manager actually allows him to play regularly or not.

Disagree.

It’s a clear indicator that something isn’t always right. If Everton, Leipzig and Leicester all decided not to give him regular game time, it points to the people watching him every day, seeing something you clearly can’t.

If he’s got past his demons and knuckled down for good here, then fair play, I wish him well, but to suggest that every manager who’s coached him are wrong, is just incorrect.

it is difficult for an outsider to judge.

In reality it will be a mixture of things. At Everton, we just were not balanced in recruitment, pushing more experienced players into his position but when he got his chance, did he really take it?

The fact that he then got a shunted around a bit shows more the fact that he needed to settle down mentally than he was mis-managed. Maybe a bit mis-managed at Everton, due to the above but other clubs, we will never know truly.

Played way too little, while Walcott was given game time. We persisted with an older player on the decline, when we should have stuck with a younger prospect, who could have a much higher ceiling to reach! He’s now the 2nd top scorer in Serie a and he scores a goal from every 2 shots he have. Walcott never achieved that level of clinical!! We need to put more faith in youth NOW, or we seem doomed to decline into oblivion! ?

They were all wrong.

He didn’t get a real chance here.

Yeah Koeman that, but like all of our players the fans were having none of him accusing him of having a bad attitude
He went through a couple of managers too. To be fair he was a young lad at the time.

I do feel it is worth pointing out that Serie A is not a particularily strong league right now either though.

I am not sure this is 100% correct. It is subjective but what is a real chance, by definition. Is it a run of 10 games starting, 20 games starting, etc.

In my opinion he got enough of a chance to impress and stay in the team/at the club, but it didn't happen, whether that was down to the managers tactics, his talent or attitude, that is the debate. I don't think we can categorically say he did not get 'real' chance, as a fact. In reality it was a mixture of the first and last of those points, there is no doubting that he could play football.
