Looks Like The S*n has Lied Again

I don't think it's "case closed" just yet. The mother still seems to be making the claims and added that they were being pressured to drop the case. If what she says is true, it is a vulnerable person with a drug addiction. the BBC have caused this for not taking initial claims seriously.

Also, Schofield denied doing anything until he admitted it.

All a rather strange case but potentially this young lad could have been groomed and doesn't realise he has been so is going against his family who have concerns??

The truth will come out in the end.

Problem here is you have 2 corporations known for spreading and hiding their bull****. Did the Sun make up the story or have the BBC paid hush money to the young person? Both extremely likely scenarios.

To stick my oar in for a moment, (as has been alluded to already re the cynical timing - and I totally agree btw) that rag has talked up an alleged 17 year old in an inappropriate relationship of some form with someone famous. Allegedly. That person is now 20 years old - or so the statement goes via their solicitor yesterday. I am confused, how has this taken so long to come to light? How many other troubled teens are in potentially inappropriate relationships with famous people at itv, or the bbc, or on fleet street or being sexted by current plod, and and and and...
The timing is a bit odd, have the phone hackers been put to work double time to find some sleaze, any sleaze so as to besmirch the bbc like what itv were dragged through a month to six weeks ago? And suddenly we've got the harassment of Cliff all over the news again, and lo and behold there's jingle jangles in his tracksuit with his cigar for us all to be remembering again.

This fair city got it right a long time ago, "Don't buy the s*n".

Personally think people are jumping the gun in saying the sun are lying.

Absolutely no smoke without fire in this one.

The cynics among us may see the timing of yesterdays missed deadline (BJ was meant to hand his phone into the covid inquiry team by 16:00 yesterday) and the other rag creating a storm could have been a plan to deflect attention.

BBC not even mentioning this at this point.
The other convient bit of timing was the George Osborne wedding email thing which disappeared as soon as it landed and the only story about his wedding over the weekend was the orange confetti rather than the contents of the email.

That rag had sat on the story since May and dropped it when it suited their mates. Irrespective of the outcome of the BBC presenter story the sooner the rag's owner, who looks like a testicle, spins off this mortal coil along with his influence the better.

It’s a girl isn’t it?

Thought it was a boy, I could be wrong.

Pretty sure it’s a lad. The original quotes from the mother when the story first broke were “my son” and “‘my boy”, but since then it appears that all outlets are rewording the quotes to say “my child” etc.

Guessing it’s either a legal thing, or knowing the UK media they’re probably thinking the story would be “sexier” if the public assumed a young girl was involved!

The 20 year old's lawyer has said The S*n have published lies that a rich famous man paid him £35,000 for photos. Wonder who's paying for the lad's lawyer? Interesting to see how this one pans out, nobody named the man in the articles but by process of elimination it's transpired who it is, he surely can't sue a paper that didn't name him or even really alude to his identity.

Anyways, pretty hypocritical from that rag to run the story, they used to pay 16 year old girls to be on page 3.
