Common dave , you really beleive that every crops from hinchcliff or whoever , specifically picks out a player? So you have two guys running in the box? You play a curling cross with pace into the danger area between the gk and strikers . They both go for it and the near post misses it and the guy on the back post finishes it. That’s not a good cross? Free kicks are played into danger areas mate .

He DOES pick the pass out. That's why his crosses are lethal.

Who hinchcliffe? He delivered flat crosses into areas he knew the keeper couldn’t get to and could hold because of the pace on the ball. Ferguson attacked these balls he wasn’t picked out. And baines does have quality in his left foot and has picked out plenty of players in his career
