Brilliant player.

He uses the ball so well.

He had Pereira in his pocket on Saturday, I can't remember anything coming down that side at all - Leicester's attacks were entirely down the other side.

Think that was more to do with them targeting Kenny.

Digne was superb though.

Blown away by his attacking game P.

He was dreadful at Barca and Roma going forward but it was clear to see he was solid at the back.

Now, he looks quality going forward.

was he though? I mean barca play different style full backs to the rest, he's getting forward well for us and putting boss balls into the box but barca don't utilise that as they don't have big strikers, they want their full backs to bomb forward skin out and do cut backs for messi etc ( ie alba alves etc etc ) so it's just different styles, and wasn't he a mainstay in the roma team whilst on loan?

Don’t get me wrong, I understand why he struggled at both but going forward, he really was very poor.

Few decent balls here and there but nothing like what we’ve seen.

I dunno if he was dreadful - just didn't have the opportunity with those tactics. Most PL full backs have the chance to attack, most teams set up with them being 'box to box' players. It's great for him and us

must be buzzing digne

comes to a big club ( not compared to his previous ones of course ) gets his foot straight in to be one of the most important players, seems well liked by all he's got his place back in the national squad, fair play on him could have just stayed at barca and played the odd game but he's came here.

think he's absolutely boss me, one of our most important purchases, absolute steal in todays market as well
Agree mate

It's not that odd. A player stabs the team in the back on camera while they were playing a game. Not exactly the stuff of legends like is it?
I’m not saying he’s a legend but he clearly wasn’t alone in his thinking at the time.

Also there’s something to be said for speaking your mind when you feel strongly about something rather than the old RS trick of brainwashing everyone. Remember when Emile Heskey was previewing a Spurs v Leicester game and was asked who will win? His reply? Liverpool.

I’m assuming Kevin Ratcliffe, who is undoubtedly a bona fide EFC legend, is equally as unpopular with you due to him also not giving us constant glowing reviews on screen?

Reminds me a little bit of Kenny Sansom. The young version before he got fat.

A proper all round full back. The best thing so far has been his consistency. Consistently Good.;)

Looks like a good guy too. Happy to be here.
