Should easily have at least 5 assists on the season. Is still easily our best player on the pitch. But because he isn’t working miracles in a side that was destined towards relegation in the 1st half of the year, he is being sold by half the board.

Sums up our fans. They don’t know what they want. It’s Gana all over again.

He was excellent last year and one of the best attacking full backs in the league.

This year he has been consistently poor. He was dreadful yesterday and fallen very far down the pecking order of prem full backs.

I can’t personally understand why Baines is not starting at left back.

Come on, it´s not about working miracles. He just hasn´t been at the races all season.
 

Hope he finds some form again under Ancelotti. It's a shame players have to find form at different times - Pickford, Holgate, DCL and Richarlison have been decent recently - not so much the rest.

It’s exactly about working miracles. He is still fairly productive even in his ‘off’ season. But because he isn’t firing in lasers from 30 yards (and hasn’t had nearly as many free kicks on the edge of the box) he isn’t a top player anymore.

Walcott hits that ball in and it’s 5 assists. Played a perfect corner to Holgate which resulted in a goal. He has been fine. People just remember the worldies he scored last year and bank all of their opinions on the lack of them this season.

He hasn’t had nearly as many opportunities this year because we haven’t looked nearly as dangerous a side. For all our faults last year, we pressed well and constantly created chances using our width. Teams can just mark us out now that our center is so poo.

Unfortunately, a huge problem is that in a lot of players´ threads you see fans blaming other members of the squad for sub par performances. The better players (like Digne) haven´t stepped up. It´s not about the assists or the goals, his general play has just been poor. Defensively he´s been a liability and going forward nothing special.
 
His confidence looks shot this season take him out for few games bainsey can still do a job defo .hopefully he then comes back the boss player he was last season
