This is bang on tbf.
He's been asked to be more defensive so far this season and that's probably the weakest part of his game.
His crossing has always been erratic, but we don't get him into good enough positions often enough (either under Carlo or Benitez)

He is the wrong type of full back for a Benitez team tbh, like you say he does'nt really do the defending side of things and Benitez (i imagine) would prefer someone who is 50/50 at both defending and attacking. Still my favourite player though by a long way.

Rafael's teams were never famous for using FB's being attacking outlets much, but still doesn't excuse how average he was last season under a manager who is more attacking than Rafael.

Think we are being over critical a bit here, thought he had a decent first half and admittedly was very poor in the second, got caught wrong side entirely for the first goal and should have taken the booking bringing him down. For the second, the own goal that could have happened to anyone, it was a brilliant corner, but Digne had to go for it, what would people have said it he just ducked out the way of it ?
Lucas Digné is not dreadful by any stretch, but if I was an opposing manager I tell my right-winger to just keep running at him because he will cave. Said it before, he's a slightly above-average defender who is decent at going forward and supporting our attacks.
one of the reasons why i think 5 at the back doesnt suit us is because i dont think digne and coleman play those wingback roles that well
anyone know how many own goals he has scored for us? must be up there
