has he possibly been let down by a crap midfield?
We had a crap midfield when he was playing well 2 years ago.

I don't think it was anything to do with that tbh. It will all be that Digne used a data company to help him get his deal last time - like De Bruyne did with City. What I took from it was Benitez was saying Digne was complaining about his stats (probably because he wants to stay in the national side) and Benitez is saying your stats don't matter for a team that's finished 12th and 10th. Your stats can be sacrificed if it means moving up the table to more meaningful positions. So Digne has thrown his toys out of the pram in self interest rather than putting ego, national team and stats aside to help us get results. I could be wrong but that's how I took what he was saying. If I've interpreted correctly then Digne needs to go 100%
It doesn't count like that so likewise it won't count for any other players mate.He got completely done on the inside by Matty Cash this season off the top of my head, that was an error leading to a goal. He gave away a needless free kick on the edge of the area that led to Millwall’s winning/equalising goal in that infamous game. This is why I think stats are complete nonsense.
Which statements?Apart from making up statements that we have absolutely no idea we’re actually made?
Best idea you've had yet. Any food would do doesn't need to be cheese. Will be the fastest your man Benitez has moved in ages.Past caring now. Just get the rodent out.
Put some cheese outside FF and lock the gates.
Look back through the thread. I’m not your Google.Which statements?
The Benitez one is accurate - and Digne has asked for a move.
It doesn't count like that so likewise it won't count for any other players mate.
A foul is a foul and counts on the foul statistic, not as an error leading to a goal. Think about it, if you measured it that way, any player who put it out for a corner that then went in would lead to that being counted as an error, even if was a magnificent finger-tip save.
But hang on? Our manager has today publicly come out and told us he doesn't want to be here, and made it pretty clear by the way he lost his head that Digne will never play for Everton again while he's here.Scumbags on Skysports already talking down his fee from the mooted £30 million.
The same beauts who did not raise an eyebrow when Sheff Utd payed the RS £25 million for Rhian Broomhandle.
Benitez has seen through the players who are not up for it/disruptive & called them out on it. He knows who the problem players are. They don’t like it”Which statements?
The Benitez one is accurate - and Digne has expressed that he wants to leave.
Like I said mate I think that's what he was getting at, rightly or wrongly. As he kept mentioning how stats don't matter for 10th and 12th place finishesI don't think it was anything to do with that tbh. It will all be that Digne used a data company to help him get his deal last time - like De Bruyne did with City.
If your theory is correct, Benitez doesn't have a leg to stand on because when we got hammered 4-1 in the derby he came out and told us all that we'd run the most in the league so it was okay.
Benitez . ...
"Need you to defend better"
Digne.....
" But i can create things if allowed to ?"
As far as I'm concerned he's a defender and you do that job first.
End off.
Fridge lolBut it actually is an error leading to a goal though isn’t it? Don’t care what some fridge who works for WhoScored says, I’ve watched enough football over many many years to know a piece of poor defending when I see it. Stop looking at stats, it doesn’t tell you anything.
Digne hasn’t said a word though has he mate? He signed a new long deal as a sign of commitment a few months back, happy to be here and was one of the better players.Believe Benitez or Digne - a man who wants to do his best for Everton or one who wants to leave ASAP.
That's an easy one.
