Transfer Rumour Luis Diaz

Loan fee, perhaps 6m per year? Some of which may be needed for FFP. We lost £240m in two years.
I’m on about the 17mil. Unless the obligation part of the deal has changed, but when it was first mentioned, the opinion was, we could use the money we will get next year. I know it’s now a 2 yr loan. So maybe that’s changed and maybe we still owed Juventus money from the original deal. Has that now been removed from our accounts and could that help.

Also vlasic going to West Ham, by all accounts we have a sell on, won’t be much, but could make the difference.

We just moved Kean. It will count as a sale on the books next year we wouldn't have done it otherwise.
Obviously we are not flush this sumner, but some are acting like we are in S*** street. If that was the case Digne, DCL or Richarlison would have been sold cheaply a month ago. Or when we do sell them 3 players it will go straight to the banks. Like the arteta money. We also don’t know what the new rules will be next season for profit and sustainability.

Maybe I’m being over positive, but plenty are being over negative.

As Pipe explained, they can submit the deal pending medical prior to the deadline. That happens all the time.

The big risk is Lucho picking up a knock in these three qualifiers. Oh... And do you all allow medicals in the famous quarantine Heathrow Travelodge? (jK)

In hindsight - Eintracht Frankfurt conducted Rafael Santos Borré's medical at Colombia's Copa America training base in Brasil, so if a deal is struck, Everton could definitely do the same in La Paz (where Colombia play their first match) or back in Barranquilla (and the medical team could even enjoy a nice vacation at the beach before returning to stay in the Heathrow Travelodge).
I'm still confused about who is actually traveling to play for Colombia next week because what I had read was that PL, the Italian and Portuguese leagues were not allowing players to travel to south America. And a couple of days ago RCN sent this tweet about Colombia being in trouble because neither Diaz or Uribe will be traveling and the coach had said the Club was more important than the NT.

From what I understand the whole European delegation except Yerry Mina and Muriel - who are 'allegedly' injured - are flying west today.

The Argentine national team leaked on Friday night that they would break the EU FAs directive and subsequently the other South American delegations joined in. In principle, FIFA is saying they will protect all players who travel from consequences being threatened by the teams.

The players in the UK will need to deal with side eye from their teams and 10 days at Azkaban...I mean, the Heathrow Travelodge quarantine hotel.

Yep its a bit of a mess , 2 Aston Villa players have defied the authorities and are joining their National teams.

But wouldn't flying even if it is an order from the NT would infuriate managers such as Conceição who told the Colombian players the Club is more important than the NT so sure FIFA could protect them from penalties but no from being on the manager's bad side, meaning they themselves are putting their club career at risk with such move?

It is a huge mess and Conmebol made even more of disarray by adding an extra match to this calendar so instead of 2 there will be 3 WC qualifying matches that Colombia has to play ?It is also unfortunate that the players are being put in this position of having to defy their Clubs so they can play with the NT. Thankfully Mina is hurt because I can see Benitez starting beef with him over it. That's exactly one of the reasons why James and Benitez relationship deteriorated.

€40mil

Unless were charging a €15mil loan fee for James that makes no sense.
Pushing the financial can down the road perhaps. With the increased price, we're effectively covering james' wages for the loan but able to spread the costs over a longer period, whilst retaining the chance of getting a fee for James.
With all our deals, this summer, seems to be some clever accounting skullduggery.
