From what I understand the whole European delegation except Yerry Mina and Muriel - who are 'allegedly' injured - are flying west today.
The Argentine national team leaked on Friday night that they would break the EU FAs directive and subsequently the other South American delegations joined in. In principle, FIFA is saying they will protect all players who travel from consequences being threatened by the teams.
The players in the UK will need to deal with side eye from their teams and 10 days at Azkaban...I mean, the Heathrow Travelodge quarantine hotel.
But wouldn't flying even if it is an order from the NT would infuriate managers such as Conceição who told the Colombian players the Club is more important than the NT so sure FIFA could protect them from penalties but no from being on the manager's bad side, meaning they themselves are putting their club career at risk with such move?
If that also applied to Diaz then he would not be arounded for a medical or to sign.
Well I'm happy for Colombia the players can pull this off and participate, we are going to need them.I think it's strength in numbers. If all the players across all the countries do it, it's easier.
But if Conceicao were found to be abusing players unfairly he could get in trouble with FiFa too. I think Diaz is going to Bolivia now.
If Everton do the deal they will need to do medicals in SA and wait for him at the Travelodge.

I really hope the deal with Diaz happens but I also read that Conceição doesn't want to lose him so I'm thinking it will come down to the money and the offers Porto receives. Would he have to quarantine or was FIFA able to get that work out too with the UK PM? I read he had reached out to him but nothing else.
Sunday was always going to be quiet on that front.Surprisingly quiet on the Diaz front today, it has to be said.
Not gonna pretend I knew anything about him before the links but he looks like exactly the kind of player that fits how we’ve played under Benitez and if he costs 35m and we’re allowed to spend it I’m on board.Wouldn't be surprised if we end up paying c.£35m for Diaz just to get Porto to agree to a deal.
I doubt we can spend £35m on any player at the moment, which is why we were trying to tie Rodriguez into the deal.Wouldn't be surprised if we end up paying c.£35m for Diaz just to get Porto to agree to a deal.
