Transfer Rumour Luis Diaz

Not quite true... its says last week Porto told the player he would only leave for the release clause.

Nowhere in the article does it say they moved the goalposts

Worth noting that the same source claimed we had signed Nunes about 10 times during the window from Spoting.

Not sure they're very reliable tbh. Romano, Joyce and Kirkbride all noted negotations were on as recently as Friday - worth taking their word. Record don't have a great reputation for getting things right.

If we'd have sold Richarlison for £80m, we would have met that release clause....
I like him but that release clause is a lot of money. He'd have been a good replacement for Richy though, in as where we play him. But Richy is more flexible than that and works his absolute sock off for the team which often goes unnoticed

Could this really be truth? I have heard Brands doesn't do business during the winter marker so could Everton really be aiming to purchase Diaz this winter? It certainly would be wise as I have read Bayern is seriously thinking of signing him next summer.

James Rodriguez Everton exit was not at all by chance . Beyond the high salary and the player's disagreements with Rafael Benítez, in Portugal they speculate that the reason would have been in another Colombian: Luis Díaz. And is that according to the newspaper La Bola, Everton has the priority of signing the Porto winger for the next window. And to achieve it and go with everything for it, they would have sought the exit of James this past market.

It is not a secret at all that the toffees tried until the end to get hold of the talented Guajiro player . And one of the options they tried was by bartering with James as a bargaining chip. He did not convince Porto, which sees Luis Díaz also one of its greatest assets and with a tremendous projection. But at Everton, the conviction for taking over the player has not lowered at all.

La Bola assured that it would not be necessary to wait for the summer market but that Everton could sign him in January 2022. "Luis Díaz is on the rise with the 6 goals already scored by FC Porto and there is a lot of chat if him joining the Premier League in January. "

The Portuguese media recalls the interest of other teams, such as Chelsea and Tottenham, have had. And Everton would like to get ahead of them to be able to sign him as soon as possible.

It should be remembered that Luis Díaz has a contract with Porto until 2024 , and they do not plan to get rid of him in any way easily. In addition, his termination clause is 80 million euros, so his suitor will have to scratch their pocket to hire him.

And not only that, Everton will have to fight with other teams that have already shown an interest in the player. In recent weeks his name has been linked to several big teams in Europe. In addition to those already mentioned from the Premier, Bayern Munich and Barcelona have also sounded like other teams that have noticed him.

He played against the rs last week in the CL Sassy, that was the first time I'd seen him. He was bloody awful so hoping that was a one off as I'll definitely be looking to keep an eye out on him.

I didn't watch that match but I read he and Uribe had a really bad game. He is starting tonight against Uruguay so let's hope he has a great one tonight ?

I think we will go for him and a right back in the January window.

Seen some of his amazing goals but from snippets, he doesnt have the skills or vision of Antony at Ajax, the speed and running of Diaby at Leverkusen, the pace of Doku at Rennes or the power of Kulusevski at Juventus or Sarr at Watford.

Obviously goals are critical but im not sure where the 'Xfactor' is in his all round play?
