Lukaku - A Fond Farewell

The space around Rom is a class free zone. All the cavorting with the equally unlikable Pogba on social media before signing, his interview that omitted any mention or gratitude towards the club that gave him the opportunity to play in the prem week in, week out, even the weeks when he was rank. Thanks for the goals, but good luck no.

Good luck to him. Served our club well.

People are being too harsh on him IMO. Understandable reaction but not warranted.

Still gonna boo the TV when he inevitably scores against us

With respect mate, it is warranted.

He has disrespected the club practically, no genuinely, right from Day One and his endless blathering when on international duty with Belgium have been disgusting.

Aside from the goals, just about the only thing he leaves Everton with genuine credit for is the way he acted with children, most notably Bradley Lowery.

Other than that he has treated Everton as nought but the stepping stone he referred us to being from the day he joined.

Glad we had him for the years we had him, even before he moved to Chelsea it was clear he was going to be one of the best in the world.

There's no sentiment, just business and I hope in future more players of his caliber see us an option.

Yeah but we always knew what he was about. At least in the last few years. That's my point.

Great bit of writing there that captures a lot of my thoughts on this weekend's events and what's to come.

I only wish that Lukaku had been a bit more gracious towards the club. He already seems to have forgotten us so I'm working on doing that same. Thanks for the goals.

Rooney is someone I didn't want. He's here so I'll get behind him 100% but I'm expecting him to deliver what he should for the wages he's commanding here. I've got little sentimentality for him and expect him to make a contribution to go some way towards me forgetting him jibbing us off. Hat-tricks against the RS will count for quadruple points in this regard.

Thanks for the goals, glad you got your move you were always mouthing off about. Best of luck, so long as it isn't at our expense.
Cya Rom.

Goodbye to our 3rd best striker in the premier league era after Beardsley and Rooney. Thanks for the goals and the 100 million quid

The events of today have showed that we are losing a player who will only get better and gaining one who will only get worse and that is nothing to be celebrated for me.
