He's a quality striker. They definitely could win the league with him in the team. No one can say that Jamie Vardy is any better and Leicester won it.

For every bit of quality Scholes had as a player he's just a fan who's a pundit now. Everything he says is reactionary and offers very little insight to the actual game. He's basically every fan who frequents a football forum after a defeat dealing in hyperbole.

Based purely on goals to game ratio in their domestic careers, Lukaku has a 0.46 goal to game ratio whereas Higuain has 0.51, which are fairly similar.

That doesn't take into consideration the teams they have played for or faces of course, nor does it consider their overall characteristics. What am I saying...

...It's Higuain every day of the week.

Is Higuain's overall game really that good? We all know Lukaku can go through spells of barely looking like a footballer but I've never really looked at Higuain as being more than a clinical finisher.

I've always been a fairly strong advocate of Rom's scoring -you can check - as in the mainstay he's a strong and capable finisher. The rest I gave leeway on.

However, technically in and around the area I personally believe Higuain is the better player alongside having a better scoring rate, so ultimately he's better.

Ah it must have been all the other bits of his game that impressed you then..... not sure rashford and smalling agree..... they absolutely tore him to shreds.

He was awful. Joke of a player. We ain't getting the extra £15m for him. He's getting sold.

Im not really fussed about 15m to be honest.. we scored goals for us and we got 75m for him so that'll do i think
