Lukaku to Spurs

I think he will view us as simply some great club he played for the other year.

Even Rom isnt stupid to think he has better chances of success here than at chelsea.

And why would chelsea sell a striker that has outscored all of their strikers combined this year, considering they already own him? and is young?

I suspect we'd go for Batshuayi instead. Roberto likes youth, he would be cheaper, and is more likely to have sell on value.

And who knows what Swans would want for Bony.
Get them both and sell Kone. Could get them both for less than 20m.

You think?

Bony was like 12 million. Batshuayi had an 8 million release clause. Bony would be a minimum of 15, I'd suspect they'd want 18+. So I'd guess it'd be closer to 25.

All guesses though. Would be nice to get both. One for now and one for the future.

As armchair fans. Agents and financial experts, how are we defining his transfer fee? Thin air?

Who was the last striker to move for big money?

Transfermarkt has Lukaku at £22m

Barkley 9.7m was 5.3m at the start of the season
Coleman 8.8m was 5.3m at the start of the season
Rafael - 13m
Asheley young - 12.5m
Kagawa - 15m
Janujaz - 5.3m
Valencia - 14m
Hernandez - 14m
Tom Cleverley - 12.5m was 11.5m at the start of the season
McCarthy -10.5m values has remained the same
John Stones - 3.5m was 3.1m at the start of the season
Delefeou - 10.5m was 13.1m at the start of the season
Lukaku - 22m was 21m at the start of the season

Hopefully this shows ya mate that transfer-market knows absolutely nothing about valuations and can only used with extreme scepticism

Players who move on frees valuation always is really low after the joing a new club, big price flops retain their over evaluated price way after their price has crashed etc, most players at the big clubs get a stupidly inflated value on them, and most players at the none massive teams get a very low evaluation on them

further examples

Shaw 11.5m
Lallana 6.6m

Allen 12.5m
Lucas 15m
Flanagan 875k
Skrtel 12.5m
Torres - 16.5m
Eto'o - 7.9m

Maybe the same reason they loaned out the self same striker when he had scored more last season than all their other strikers combined had in the league as well mate, torres scored 8, Ba scored 2, Sturridge scored 1, lukaku scored 17. so 11 compared to Lukaku's 17.
This season Torres 4, Ba 3, Eto'o 8. so 15 compared to Lukaku's 13

Actually could say that they made a bigger mistake loaning him last season given that numerical data

Using your analogy though De Bruyne would still be at chelsea and effectively no player would ever leave a BIG club by choice

The only way he'd go to Spurs is if the money is insane for him. And if he did, then so be it - one thing I've learned as an Evertonian is that mercenaries who leave Goodison very rarely do anything beyond the Jeffers level of achievement.

That said, I don't think there's a prayer of it happening. If we put forward the cash and we finish 5th at the least, I think Lukaku stays.

Tubey everything I've seen heard or read about Lukaku it's not about the money with him in the slightest, Maybe as he gets older that will change, but right now its about the game for him

Obviously 300k a week would change that like, but atm were talking probably a difference of 15-20k a week between us and spurs at most and thats not enough to sway him at this age
