Lukaku to Spurs

The only way he'd go to Spurs is if the money is insane for him. And if he did, then so be it - one thing I've learned as an Evertonian is that mercenaries who leave Goodison very rarely do anything beyond the Jeffers level of achievement.

That said, I don't think there's a prayer of it happening. If we put forward the cash and we finish 5th at the least, I think Lukaku stays.
I hope you are right there mate. Fingers crossed.

I liked your idea mate...but sadly in these ridiculous politically correct times it might be taken the wrong way. Still, you might be able to reverse the trend of modern day absurdity.....this time next year we will all be able to buy marmalade with gollywogs on the jars, watch countless episodes of It Aint Half Hot Mum and our kinds can write on a "blackboard" again. :)

thing is if we do sign him, surely thats our whole transfre budget gone?! so we wont be abel to improve from this year...hmm
Whole budget if we qualify for Europa, bet we'd have more if we made Champions League, might have to wait till after the qualifier though to spend it.

Which areas are we 'desperately in need of improvement'?we've got long term injuries to the likes of Pienaar, Kone, Oviedo, Jagielka and Gibson and still had the strongest bench we've had for a while yesterday.

I agree, our bench has improved a lot. What I'm saying is, to maintain or improve upon our current league position next year, we will require much more than one quality player. The age of our squad is high, with 9 or 10 first team players the wrong side of 30, we need to start replacing some of them. Not mentioning the obvious fact that we have 2 or 3 key players on loan who may or may not be here next year.

The point I'm making is that one £30m signing of Lukaku, as good as he may be, would not be the solution. I'd much rather see us buy three £10m players or four £7.5m players, which would add greater value to the team overall.

Mourinho is clever in what he is doing with Lukaku. He's put him in the shop window this season and he will be on display during the World Cup. This is when the big teams will come lurking. Lukaku will be playing in the World Cup with a for sale sign around his neck, price increasing with good performances.

Dear Lord !!!

Lukaku isn't going to that car crash know as Tottenham Hotspur Football Club.

You know it, I know it, and his agent knows it.

No we don't, we have 6 over 30 if you include Barry, 1's a keeper, 2 are cb's - one of whom has his replacement already their and playing atm, 2 are attacking mids that currently are used in rotation and with a full strength team probably wouldn't start now and one is Gareth Barry - a loan player currently. Hardly a cause for panic like.
No it wouldn't add greater value overall, but i am also unsurprised to see you'd rather everton didn't buy Lukaku either
