I mean to me you're describing a different question. James is the best player I've seen play for us. Rom obviously had more of an impact.
 
Couldn’t we get Lukaku and James together...
we got ourselves Lukaku before we were ready for him.. that was the biggest coup this club has pulled off until we signed James. It should have elevated us to better results but didn’t have the manager to match ..

had amazing players in recent passed.. need them on the same pitch at the same time.

never understood the hate for Rom.. he wasn’t Everton born.. spent far longer with us than I expected.. to me is a world class striker and did exceptionally well for us!

Did we hate him? I know we didn't take to him because he didn't take to us, always had one foot in the door and one foot out.

We recognised him as a world class finisher with one of the worst first touches in the game that disapeared in big games. A bit like his time at Old Trafford.

many did cos of the one foot out the door thing... many didn’t.. it was always a healthy debate
