Lukaku. Yes or no

Best striker since Lineker for us by an absolute mile. Shame we had to sell him. But he always felt like he was too big and too good for us, so probably for the best.
We will see where DCL ends up at season's end but if he hits 20 this isn't really true anymore right? Rom is still better but it starts to be a conversation.

James Rodriguez plays for us right now

Stature and ability wise James is magical and is better but in recent years a mixture of injuries and limited game time at Madrid has reduced his all round impact at club level being truthful whereas Lukaku has banged goals in consistently year in year our barely missing a game for numerous clubs ever since he was 19 at West Brom.

Amazing how some dont rate him.

James is the best player I've ever seen play for Everton. He controls games and opens up teams in a way no player has done for us. If you can't see his impact that's on you but it is still massive.

Rom is great and saying James is better is definitely not me saying I don't rate Rom. He's probably second with Baines peak right there too. It's a shame for Leighton because of he was born 15 years later and coming through now with every team using very attacking fullbacks he would be a superstar. James is the best though.

Yeah as I said ability wise its James but overall I would go with Rom personally. His last season at us was truly special literally every game you felt he would score. The opening 8-9 games aside I dont think James has been that great here - been one of our better players but injuries and formation tweaks have seen his influence reduce for me.

I think you have it right there.

I think we can easily say that Lukaku is the best striker we have had at the club in recent history, Yakubu for that one season would run him very close (if not surpassed Lukaku) if he had kept at that level for a few seasons.

James is the most technically gifted player we have had, although Phil Neville's step overs are something that James would never get close to replicating.

Well he started against Burnley and was great, got hurt, came back in the cup and set up the winner and was heavily involved in a goal against Wolves so that's a lot of influence after the first stretch of games. He's been hurt. He's not been any different on the field.

Ability wise its a no brainer but going off the whole package at Everton in general James will have to do it a lot longer than 10 or so games before he'll surpass Rom for me.

I would sell my kidney to get him back wearing the Royal Blue jersey.
