I'm not sure I really see Sheringham in DCL but at any rate I don't think a team could play those 3 forwards without a seriously class midfield and fullbacks to create.

I think they just scapegoated him for the team not being great as a whole. The narrative that he flopped there has taken over but he was actually a good player the whole time.

I think he scored 27 in his first season and they finished 2nd.
