Lukaku. Yes or no

I'd actually agree! But where Tosun ended up an Audley Harrison, the hope was you'd get a Lennox Lewis.

For Tyson, he was always Tyson. He could knock over everyone afraid of him, but he couldn't change his style - as soon as his explosiveness was gone, or when he met a credible opponent like an on form Douglas or the brilliant stedhead Holyfield, he was done. For Lewis, he boxed as he did his entire career. He won consistently, for longer.

You’re just saying things now.

Yes, he's doing well. He's at his level.

He's essentially the same as he was in England but is allowed to get away with his flaws in a weaker league.
No like have you actually watched Inter? Because Rom is a good deal different in terms of ability to hold up the ball and be a force back to goal. You keep saying he's the same player so I'm guessing the answer might actually be not really because I don't see that at all.

Lukaku against bottom-half clubs when his team are 2-0 to the good = yes

Lukaku in internationals = yes

Lukaku any other time = no

Other than of course Sunday when he scored 2 and assisted 1 in a 3-1 win to put his team on top of the table. Just that other time.

Don't bite lads. Don't bite!

If I wanted to play devil's advocate you could argue that his Champs League goals (aside from PSG and Barca) have all come against second tier oppo. As for bagging goals against 7th place Lazio - who have shipped a few goals this season - and whilst Serie A teams are famed for being hard to break down with great defensive organisation, it's tough to judge if his performances in the league are not up against world class defenders. Quick look at his Serie A goalscoring record. Not a lot of goals against top 4-5 teams is there? And aside from a brace against a then-11th in the table Napoli, all of his multi-goal games come against dodgy teams.

Was speaking to my mate not long ago after Lukaku bossed England in the Nations League or whatever. How good he looked in that match over 90 mins - totally unplayable - albeit switching between Declan Rice and Harry Maguire - he had a field day. Easy to forget that he is only just approaching his peak years. He will be judged based on what he does in the next 3-4 years I reckon.

But goals are goals, can't argue against the record
