David Maddock smells a deal nearing completion:

"It seems as though Everton have concluded a deal to sign Romelu Lukaku on loan. They will pay a £3m fee, and take the Belgian international striker for a year.

"And while there is no provision for an automatic permanent move, there will be an informal agreement in place allowing room for discussions at least.*

"Victor Anichebe will now be allowed to move to West Brom, though clearly there are potentially bigger transfers in and out of Goodison still to come."

Fellaini and Anichebe out for £30m, McCarthy and Lukaku in for £15m (including loan fee)? It seems reasonable and would give us a healthy kitty to either do more business in January or to try and make the Lukaku deal permanent.

sounds nice, but the cynic in me says the money will just line Bill's pocket.

3 million for a loan? We'll have to get a replacement for him in 12 months time and we'll be 3 mill down and no better off unless he's somehow fired us into the champions league.

3 million for a loan? Does anyone else think that's just a waste? I'd rather put that 3 million towards a signing that will be here for more than 9 months.

**** that, there having Vic instead! Haha. I know it's nothing to do with Fernando this thread but Vinny O'Connor reckons the we don't think the Fernando deal is dead and can be resurrected if and when Fellaini goes. Did say we was getting closer to agreeing a deal with Wigan for McCarthy and Barry on loan could still happen?!.

You know whats going to happen don't ya, we badly want Fernando and will get McCarthy and Barry!.

Also, thinks Lukaku could be a goer as we wouldn't let Anichebe leave otherwise?!.[/QUOTE]

You honestly think we're that organised?? Kermit and Co will only just be getting on their bikes about now

Im just passing on what Vinny O'Connor said pal. I'd like to think weve got summat lined up if were letting Vic go?!.

Just going to put this out there lads

If it's Lukaku in, McCarthy in, Fellaini out

The former won't be available against Chelsea

My prediction now? 22:45 fellaini announced as gone 23:05 everton "we just didn't have time to get anything done" money goes walkabouts in January

I just can'T have this sell to loan business plan. Who goes next year when we want to loan another teams player and at what point does it stop. Absolute disgrace the way our club is handled
