i was surprised chelsea loaned him out last year , even more so this season.
but im sure lukaku said he didnt want to go out on loan if he went back to chelsea.
also with the players mourinho has bought it doesnt look like he had much love for him.
on top of that in the super cup game , mourinho was screaming at lukaku and defo blamed him for bayerns goal ( opn top ofthe penalty miss)
has lukaku got a future at chelsea ? have we the money to buy him ? would he want to stay here ? stick around and find out

Don't think there's any chance we'd be able to get him after this year though, sadly.

Even if he's surplus to requirements at Chelsea, didn't they pay like 16m for him? We can dream though.

I'd jizz if Chelsea were willing to let him go and we saved that £15m or so and then scrounged an extra £10m and went all out.

It won't happen but I'm letting myself think it might as I have a year until my illusion crumbles.

He's never scored a goal for them and they're prepared to loan him out again. Maybe they prefer their big name strikers? Eto'o is only on a one year contract and they'll want to get rid of Demba Ba as soon as they can. Torres doesn't really inspire confidence either, so they might bring two or three superstars in and decide to let Lukaku go.
 

Best striker on the roster, by far. Says a lot about Lukaku, says a lot about our other strikers too.

Let's just enjoy the big brute for a year before we sweat on stuff like this :).
 

Even though Lukaku will be leaving us, by next year Chris Long may be making strides towards the first-team. He's highly thought of and has impressed me whenever I've seen him play for the England youth teams. Conor McAleny hopefully will make a strong recovery from his broken leg too.
 
I do hope Lukaku does well for us but I cant help thinking that he was far from recognised prior to going on loan to WBA last year, and that he has never scored for Chelski. Hardly the credentials of a proven or finished article.

Lets hope my fears are unfounded.

They will be, trust me.

It goes Lukaku > Kone > Jelavic for me.
