Lukaku

Last 2 games have shown lukaku for what he is, a player who can't deal with being marked. He is best used as an impact player,

2 years left on his contract, moaning about not wanting to go on loan, and that he wants to be the main man at Chelsea, stinking the world cup out... Martinez possibly possesses Palpatine qualities! Manipulating the force so we can get him for a bargain :)

This is the problem... Lots of evertonians seem to be dismissing the 10 or more games that he played 'gash' for us last season! The way he's playing so far today and his previous game for Belgium, he played plenty of games like that for us last season...
Poor movement off the ball, Couldn't hold the ball up when passed into feet or in the air.
And despite that, scored how many goals?

He's 21, he's not the finished article yet - he's going to be a little inconsistent. But he's scoring a goal every other game in the prem, a better return over the last two years than anyone bar Suarez.

Look at what Bobby has achieved with Naismith..... imagine what he can do with Lukaku if given two/three/four years to develop him. Amazed that anyone would write him off due to half a dozen poor games for Belguim, when he's proved himself perfectly capable over 30 games for us in the Prem.

He doesn't get any service

The teams not set up for him to score

He looks tied

He needs a holiday

He doesn't like playing on Sundays

Its to hot

He hates red

Fed up with the Marcus Bent, Nikicia Jelavic hard worker centre forwards. I want a prolific striker who may not do anything for 85 minutes but give him a chance and he'll take it- a game changer, a match winner- I think Lukaku is that striker.

That's were Belgium have gone wrong, They took him off twice after 60mins

Exactly right. It seems some prefer their strikers to be a bit like Robert Rosario, good technically and works his nuts off, but an absolutely shocking goals record.

I like my strikers to have hitting the onion bag as their strongest asset, and Lukaku does this part very well.

Martinez is a manager, not a miracle worker.... you're making it all sound so simple... ''lets buy kevin kilbane, martinez will sort his game out in a year or so''
I'm not writing him off due to a half a dozen poor games for belgium, if you read my post, you'd know that it was based on games for everton also...

I would expect any top level footballer to be able to control a football without it bouncing off some part of his body and ending up in the stands

How many goals would Bendtner have scored fo us last year being first choice all the time regardless of performance and with a manager who only has positive things to say to him?

To rephrase an old joke about argentines, if you could buy him for what he is worth and sell him for what he thinks he is worth you would have the best business on the planet.

Theres the, can they do it on a cold wednesday in Stoke and then theres the, can they do it on a baking hot day in Brazil.

Thankfully we only need somebody that can do the first thing.
