i don't think lukaku's been poor, he's just had absolutely nothing to go on. he hasn't been missing sitters are passing the ball out for throw ins etc.

Obviously we should base alot on WC performances, so I radically suggest we forget this Lukaku and sign that lad Cahill from Australia. Scored 2, one an absolute belter, for an unfancied team.

This is the dream scenario for us. We know exactly what he's capable of and don't need couple of WC games to form a considered opinion on him ffs. The last thing we needed was him having a stonking WC campaign as it would have generated masses of coverage and raised his profile across the globe. This is the problem... Lots of evertonians seem to be dismissing the 10 or more games that he played 'gash' for us last season! The way he's playing so far today and his previous game for Belgium, he played plenty of games like that for us last season...
Poor movement off the ball, Couldn't hold the ball up when passed into feet or in the air.

You're forgetting his age mate, he's young and still improving of course he will have off days. The older and more games he plays the more consistent he will be, so fewer bad games. The touch can be improved by training like it did with Anichebe who you could see practicing trapping the ball before matches.
