But that was then now we have Fellaini who went for 27 million, Shaw for 27 million, prices are going up
In today's climate I'm surprised figures of £30-40m aren't being floated around for Lukaku.

HE STILL SAYS EVERTON ON HIS TWITTER LA
Which is worrying if you're us. Which we are. Can't help but think his WC performance will determine his price.
Which is worrying if you're us. Which we are.
Are you sure about that?
I saw him play in the Europa League semi or final that year and yeah, he played an absolute stormer alone up top. He score a brace past Newcastle in the semi final that year but not sure if that was the game.
The rest is from his Wiki so fairly trustworthy I'd say, backed up by this http://www.worldfootball.net/teams/ea-guingamp/2002/2/
(Wow, that's a dazzle of UBB-wizardry)
I don't have a problem paying £20m-£25m for Lukaku. He scored plenty of goals in the last two seasons, is young, can improve.
My quandry would be if our budget is say £30m; we need a lot of players.
Can we afford to spend almost all our kitty on one player, however potentially brilliant he is/will be?
Unless of course the training program is specifically designed to develop and refine new motor skills? Like when an adult decides to learn to juggle, or play a musical instrument? I'll give you that children are more receptive to learning motor skills, but there is nothing to stop adults developing new motor skills: particularly adults who are being paid to do just that, and are doing so in an environment entirely geared up to their so doing. Like a football club, with the support of football coaches.
Except he didn't grow up in the english game. Alberto, Brooking and Capello were talking about YOUTH coaching in this country.
Your suggestion that Lukaku cannot, under the guidance of any coaching staff at any club, further develop his fine motor skills is simply incorrect. It is therefore entirely invalid to suggest that at 21 years old he is as good as he's ever going to be.
How old is Barkley, btw?
Yup. Ignore the rest of the post, and respond to one line, devoid of context. Strong riposte.Barkleys control and technical ability is of an exceptional level. His decision making is what needs improving, what's your point?

My point was that Barkley is 20, so according to your theory we should cease training him because he won't improve now - he's too old.
What's my point? FFS.
