Sooo, you actually think sportsmen improve their motor skills at 20 years of age... say no more. Training maintains them not improves them.

Look at Tennis players, Boxers - my mate is an ABA finalist who coaches now, he said himself that by 18 the speed and reflexes are pretty much formed and rarely improved, its craft that is improved. From 25 the decline sets in and the boxer relies on experience and tactics.

Yes.

Do you know what happens to stroke victims after a stroke. A lot of them have to learn motor skills and co-ordination again, in your world they would all be wearing nappies and slavering. Don't get many under 30 never mind 20.

Lot's of sportsmen improve into their 20's and 30's you're so far off the mark it's unreal.

As I pointed out before, and you conveniently ignored - how do you explain adults learning to juggle, or play musical instruments, if they have never done so before the age of 20? What about physiotherapy or rehabilitation for adults who suffer injuries? Is that witchcraft, or just a myth?

The suggestion that people cannot develop and refine new motor skills past a certain age is simply untrue. If you don't believe me that's fine, but you are wrong.

Learning to juggle? is that not the art of catching which is motor skill that is mastered to its largest degree by the age of 9. Juggling is to catching what dancing is to walking you can learn a new dance at any time- now define as to how someone is going to get better at catching at 20 - they don't.

We are talking about a man who simply lacks to co-ordination to cushion a football with his feet - its the equivalent of a cricketer that drops a load of catches.

Utter, utter tosh. I suggest we agree to differ.

Blimey, remember we bought Daniel Amokachi on the back of a world cup...

Dimutrescu, Diouf, Poborsky - mega flops who had good international championships.

I would pay up to £25m for him as he will probably get better and, as long as he avoids serious injury, we would get that money back plus some even in a few years time. However, I don't think he is interested in staying....if he really wanted to stay he would have said so and let the negotiations commence now.
He'll use the world cup as a shopping window knowing that he can go back to Chelski if no other huge club comes in for him.

I got a feeling Belgium will have shyte world cup and perhaps not get past the group stage or 2nd round, in which case Rom's reputation will remain the same and he'll go for 18-20 mill.

Watch him go get the golden boot now and go for double!

I'd guess we're his third choice. Seems he'd love to be wanted at Chelsea but if that's not the case then he's made it clear he wants champions league footy. Even if we did sign him this summer I think he'd instantly see us as a stepping stone as he gives the impression he believes his own hype.

Yes, he seems to have a sense of entitlement all right.

Chelsea have pulled a trick here that none of the other big clubs thought of. When FFP was announced they went mental for buying top young talents, before the rules came in to play. Now they've got a load of sellable assets to get them through FFP.
£50m for David Luiz? Seriously FFS? Hopefully Lukaku is just another asset to boost their transfer fund.
