If Rom signs, what do you think he'll say? Obviously he can't do the usual "right step for my career" or "I knew it was the right fit, excited to be here" statements
Seriously though, we all know we're not his first choice... I just feel anything he says will sound fake... But who knows"I felt happy and that I belonged at the club during my spell here"... "To develop I want to be happy and enjoying my football, and Everton is the place I feel is the right place to be to do that"... "I get along great with the manager and believe in the project"...
etc. etc. etc.
It will make it harder now, but to leave upon scoring the winning Pen in the European Cup is a pretty special way to go.I never understood why Drogba left in the first place..
Still not sure if this good or bad news. Not as pessimistic as I was the other day, but for the life of me can't see why they'd sell Lukaku and bring in a past it Drogba.
Either Lukaku has demanded a move no matter what, or Drogba has been brought in as a tutor for him for a year as he eases into the first team - but with signing Costa, he's got no chance of regular first team football at Chelsea anyway.
Exactly.Rom's said himself thinks he's ready to play now so I can't see him wanting to wait around another year for first team chances and I don't think he needs or thinks he needs tutoring at this stage.

From what I gathered, the fee had been agreed a while back and it was all up to RomReally? See, in my eyes, the lad has a World Cup and then a holiday to concentrate on, and if Drogba is the replacement then he couldn't do jack until that was sorted.
We'll see over the next few days whether his agent whores him around or he signs on the dotted line. Anytime over the next 24 hours is the earliest opportunity he could have had to sign really.
