Andre Schurrle played in the World Cup Final. He started Chelsea's most recent pre-season game.

Lukaku (nor Mirallas) did not play past the quarter-finals. They didn't even start for Belgium. Why are they being rested so long? It's not as if Chelsea have fewer games than us for this coming season.

Martinez has his reasons, let's just trust him eh?

I honestly have no idea mate.

When he's back we really need him to hit the ground running in all aspects of his game.

Our lack of quality depth upfront is currently being exposed with him and Mirallas out (and Kone, but who knows what he brings to an Everton shirt yet).

Schurrle will be lucky to start 60% of Chelsea's games. He will mot likely be sub in almost every prem game.

Stop using other players and teams to justify a non argument

Lukaku and kev will be first choice every single week basically. He's resting then while he can ffs. Why can't people understand this simple fact??

A non-argument?

You serious, son?

Why are you bothered about mourinho does with schurrle. You a Chelsea fan?

You support Everton and trust the managers judgement until he does something that means you should doubt it. That's my opinion anyway.

If you would rather he ran Lukaku and mirallas into the ground and risk injury in pre season then fair play to you.

Pretty sure this decision has left a few people doubting it.

Maybe. But if he brings a rampaging lukku on for the final 30 minutes and he single handedly destroys Leicester then no one will.

You don't question him before a ball has been kicked in anger. You question it as the season progresses.

The key word in all this is the prefix "pre"

The season hasn't started yet.

Some people on here are acting like these pre season friendlies are point gathering exercises.
