Did they mention somewhere what the injury was? Kind of odd alluding to the severity of the injury without saying what the injury was.Just look up toffee tv on Twitter. This really is getting crazy with all these injuries.
I dont think that the implication is that the medical team is deficient in any way, I dont think that our injury turn around time is any better or worse than other clubs. It does speak volumes about squad size though! If the Lukaku injury is true it also says something about our training.Wouldnt mind but i was about to say 'its never Hibbert or Alcaraz is it' before remembering they both missed most of last season along with Gibson, Kone, Oviedo, Pienaar, McGeady, Traore. Baines broke his foot, Lukaku did his ankle, Barkley did his foot, Deulofeu did his hamstring, Jags did his hamstring. Already this season Barkley and now probably Lukaku are out. Our medical department has always been shocking and yet we wonder why we never win anything when we spend most of a season with half the first team missing.

a) The team didnt look fit for the Leicester game
b) Barkley was badly injured in training
c) Whatever's happened Rom
Any thoughts?
Agree with all you say SD what is the problem though? This has taken place under two very different management regimes? Is it too much running and turning, too many tackles, too few? Players do get injured in matches I think thats a given. In training though after extensive warm ups and warm downs? Should practice matches in training be more like sparring and less attritional?I could accept the squad size argument if this was the end of the season but its not its the start so thst should have nothing to do with it, our squsd is not that small. I would question the training and always have done. Can you name another club that had three cruciate injuries in one year like we did in 09? How many metatarsals have Cahill and Baines done between them. Mirallas and Jagielka have Haribo hamstrings. Gibson is never available, Traore has probably had longer than Kone in a blue shirt. Rodwell was never available. Ross is only 20 and has already fractured a leg and a ligament. Did we flatten a mirror store to build Goodison or sonething?
