...I have posted on here before a view I got from a sports medical expert (I can't mention his name) who says EFC have fantastic medical equipment at FF but nobody knows how to use it properly. I understand the medical strategy comes from the Club Doctor. I also understand ours is about to retire. I just hope we get somebody in who improves our poor record on injury prevention and re-couperation.
very interesting Eggs, thanks for sharing, I didnt read that before but it kind of resonates alright!

I could accept the squad size argument if this was the end of the season but its not its the start so thst should have nothing to do with it, our squsd is not that small. I would question the training and always have done. Can you name another club that had three cruciate injuries in one year like we did in 09? How many metatarsals have Cahill and Baines done between them. Mirallas and Jagielka have Haribo hamstrings. Gibson is never available, Traore has probably had longer than Kone in a blue shirt. Rodwell was never available. Ross is only 20 and has already fractured a leg and a ligament. Did we flatten a mirror store to build Goodison or sonething?

There's very little you can do to avoid cruciate ligament injuries short of not playing. I've had two of them and they are just the luck of the draw. Same with broken bones. Some players are just injury prone, Gibson was at utd before he joined, rodwell has been at City. Owen and Gerrard missed loads of games in the early part of their career. Other players like lampard never seem to get injured.

Does anyone know when RMs match press conference is on today, or indeed if it is on today? I am guessing we will hear about any serious injury to Rom there.
Also, agree with the calm down sentiment. We coped OK last year when we were without Rom and Ross. No matter what people say I still think we are much better equipped than last year to cope with these sort of injuries and I expect another couple of cheeky loan deals to come through on deadline day.
No worries
