I think, correct me if I'm wrong, that some of Alan's were in qualifiers which don't count in terms of the award?
 
No suprise his great form in the EL where we actually played open expansive football and to his strengths on the counter compared to the dross slow build up we play in the league.

He's slowly but surely proving me right. Not good enough aswell. No final ball. An if he can't beat his opposing full back he is useless

Great player. Produced or finished the only two bits of final ball quality we produced all day. 20, given how poor we've been for a lad who only turned 22 the other day is a very impressive return.

Looking forward to seeing what kind of total he gets next season as we won't be as poor next year, especially without Europe, so he might get some decent service.
 
Only seen the last 20 odd minutes and he should have scored a couple in that time but his goal was superb. Touch tight on the defender then gives him a nudge and buys himself 2 yards to knock in a header. 20 goals during a crap season where St times he's looked half arsed. Good learning curve for him though this season and he should come back an even better player. Great ball by McGeady though, would love to have been in the away end when that went in.
