I found it funny that after a few good corners and free kicks, lads were saying he should replace Baines.
He gets the ball over a defender at the near post and he's number one LB.

All kidding aside: he's decent, but **** me, there's some nonsense hype around him.

If he left, as long as a tribunal weighed Everton in with a decent compensation fee, that'd be no problem.

What did he do? I think he looks a bit of a snide so everyone came to the conclusion that he is one.

Nothing, he just hasn't signed a contract yet and someone made a fake twitter account posting some snidey stuff a while back. This has made him a pariah to some.

God forbid somebody surveyed their career options without them 'holding us to ransom' like.
 

Baines has been bang average this year
And defensively he's cost us goals
Roll on next when him and pienaar' are back together
And their magical one twos will take us to the title

Baines is still one of the best left backs in Europe even after a not too great a season up to now by his standards.

Baines and Pienaar were great together, just think Pienaar is finished now and will be a bit part player.
