His delivery is superb. Free kicks, corners and in general play.

That's something we've been missing for a long time.

I did notice that by the second half he'd caught 'Everton Shitcorneritis'!

But no, he's great. I think better than Oviedo and that's not easy to say.

Disappointing thing is no matter how well he performs he's straight back to the bench once Baines is fit and not even making the bench if Oviedo's fit. RM has to resolve this but I fear it's going to end in Garbutt walking away for nothing for the good of his career and I don't think any of us could blame him if that's what he does. Fast forward 12/18 months and I bet Garbutt overtakes Baines for England

I'd say he just needs to take one look around him and see that jumping in the summer is an excellent plan

What has me is as you said he could walk away from us for nothing to a competitor. What do you reckon he is worth anyone?

Thing is, would it in fact be good for his career to move? Like most supporters, I think that he is a great player with lots potential. However, as we all know, a move to another club is not always the best option. At Everton, he is getting a chance to develop gradually and sample European football etc. He has great role models and I think that RM rates him. Long term, especially if Baines moves to DM, then he should get more games.

Both players have done more than Garbutt so its fair that he's 3rd in the pecking order...despite being able to take a good set piece.

Baines has been on the decline for a couple of seasons now, it's time he's phased out for this lad.

He looks to me like everything Baines was and our team can only benefit. There'll be mistakes along the way like from any inexperienced player but the sooner he plays the sooner they can be eradicated.

Can not one of the three be converted into a full-time left winger, to replace Pienaar? Seeing both Oviedo and Garbutt rotting away on the bench is another black mark against Martinez, to me.

Well we already have 5 wingers and only ever play with one so what would be the point.

Hmmm. The exact same time frame that the Catalan clown has been in charge of his footballing career path.
