he's already gone, that's the only reason he wasn't playing today, and that clown is responsible, mark my words, we are heading for disaster with this manager
 
Disaster? Were going into the last game of the season in 10th with mostly a terrible squad barring 6/7 players who are still kids.

Martinez needs 20mil a season over the next two seasons to create a top side.

part of me still thinks he might sign; a lucrative contract to play for your boyhood club or the chance to get 90 minutes each week for a team that will probably go down (judging from the teams he's been linked with)

.....Baines is always going to be first choice, I suspect a contract offer has been on the table for a long time. I ask would you sign it when you have England's left back and probably Oviedo ahead of you. Would you sign it when you could double your salary and get a £1m+ signing fee elsewhere?

It's not because Hibbert was picked in a particular game, it's because his future is better elsewhere. The power is with players these days.

i'm not totally convinced oviedo is ahead of him, and he shouldn't be either, if a dreadful aging right back got picked ahead of him at left back while there is an offer on the table, his mind will have been made up there and then

Or maybe it's because he's actually not good enough to get past another 2 International-class left backs

Baines bode his time, got his chance and murdered it. Kid's still young but he wants off. Okay, good riddance then.
