When we overloaded GOT with Kenny and Lookman messages they selected them
We all know that we are basically the football selection committee so Garbutt will get a game now lol
 
Having watched the U23 game last night (admittedly only until Seamus went off!), I cannot for the life of me work out how Martina gets a game at left back in front of Luke Garbutt! He's got a left foot for a start, puts a decent ball into the box, and though defensively not 100% is a far more natural fit at LB than Mr M!
 

Thought he looked good from what i saw of him last night. He didn't do much wrong, even if he wasn't tested much defensively.

Looked good going forward, puts a decent ball in & offers natural width down the left.
 
Didn't watch last night but saw enough of him when he was in the side a while back to believe he is a far better option at Left Back than Martina, or any other right footed defender in our squad.

We've been awful for most of the season defensively anyway so even if he is weak in that regard, just having a left footed left back will improve us greatly. It will make the left wingers job easier and improve our attacking play all round as the opposition will have to worry about out left side finally which they haven't had to all season. I can't believe he could have deteriorated that much from looking competent in games against the likes of Wolfsburg either. Really is pathetic how Koeman and Allardyce have ignored him. Unsworth had no choice so cannot take any blame for this.
 
If he's got a squad number then he must surely be (being) registered for the rest of the season. Reckon we'll see him on the bench soon, then hopefully comes on and does well enough to be starting soon after that.

Bit harsh on Allerdyce, he was ineligible to play until two weeks ago and hadn't trained with any first team players all season. He is now in the squad and been training with them for a week or two.

hes had that squad number all year on Wikipedia showing in the reserves sqaud, I remember seeing it and thinking "36??"

The standard of the opposition needs to be considered.
