The fact he’s 24/25 and spent his time here in the reserves under multiple managers makes me think he’s probably not good enough

Fair comment. If he doesn't bring him in to the squad at least for the Leicester game though I think the point stands.
 
What’s the harm playing him if he’s better than Martina, and he is better without any doubt. If he puts in some one or two eye catching performance, score some goals. We’ll probably sell him for 5-10m and used that on a boss left back next summer. Tierney!

Without any doubt? Based on a few games in the u23s? People are acting like it's impossible to be worse than Martina. It's very possible.

and if he does start it will be in a very inexperienced back four (with the other one being some old bloke)
 
From what i seen of him last night, he didn't look amazing but he looked ok and definitely looked a better option than Martina. Crossing was good and he seemed quite confident. Mind you lets be honest, its not really that difficult to look a better option than a 3rd choice right footed right back playing at left back. :)

I’m a fan of Luke but he is spectacularly average and barely passed he half way line and seems to enjoy in passing backward.
