He was in their first team squad in pre season 2013,when he was 20. He played and scored in that tour.

Only none of them managed to take the chance that was put in front of them, as ultimately they weren’t good enough. Where are the other 3 now like? Therein lies the evidence.....

Looked a player in Martinez's second season. Clearly more to this story than what's on the surface. The lad will easily find a home elsewhere probably in the Championship.

Scholes made a very good point when talking about the U23 league last week, he said that it was largely pointless having that age category, as if you’d not made it into the first team by the age of 20/21 after coming through the academy at a PL club, then you weren’t going to......

..I was amazed when he signed that contract, given that he was very well regarded at that point and could’ve got a lucrative deal elsewhere. There was little prospect of him getting game time behind Baines. I would’ve advised him to move and I have to say, I thought his decision to re-sign lacked a bit of ambition.

He’s clearly gone backwards with the loan spells and it will be interesting what level he ultimately finds himself at.

Luke has been in Hong Kong for the last few days and last night he was mobbed by us HK Blues at his hotel. Despite how frustrated he may be with us lately, gotta say he's a top lad. He took his time to sign quite a few shirts and photos from us and took pictures with us all.

Why we contacted Tony Hibbert at the last stage of his career for three years at 35k per week he played 45 minutes and did well but was instantly injured!
