Lagos
The remnants of the Super Eagles who were knocked out of the Ghana 2008 Nations Cup are expected to arrive Lagos this morning.
Eagles' Camp sources here in Accra confided in THISDAYSports that the team will arrive the Murtala Mohammed Airport in Lagos at about noon with all the Nigeria Football Association (NFA) officials.
It was also learnt that instead of the 23-man team that departed the country on the 15th of last month, Coach Berti Vogts and his assistants will come in with only 10 members of the team who were mainly bench warmers during the tournament.
All the English based players including Joseph Yobo, Obafemi, Martins, Mikel Obi, Yakubu Aiyegbeni, Dicks Etuhu, Seyi Olofinjana and Danny Shittu were all confirmed to travel to their bases last night.
It is expected by today all the players will depart the west coast after they were eliminated in the quarter final by the hosts.
