I guess that's the issue with him. He can make as we've seen absolutely unreal saves but he also has the balls ups in him too.

Like every keeper.

He has made a few to be fair.

All keepers make mistakes. It's how often it happens. Sadly so far it's just a little too often for Stekelenburg.

People focusing on the wrong players.

Stickleback had a howler versus Chelsea, but hes not the reason we lost.

In my view he hasnt cost us a single game all season and has saved us a few.

The problem isnt Jags, Stickleback, Baines, Coleman, Williams, Gana, Barry, our defensive unit is doing its job, not ALL the time, but the main issues are further ahead.

Worries me we have two horrendous keepers in stek and Robles and with the team in dire need of rebuilding I don't see the money to replace them both?

Also curious are our youth keepers that bad they can't get ahead of these two?

We have awful keepers. And have had awful keepers absolutely ages now.

Stek can produce some amazing saves, probably more often than Robles but neither are even close to being good enough.

At least four huge mistakes already this season. Nowhere near good enough. Emergency backup at very best. Disgraceful how Koeman deems/deemed him good enough to be in the starting line up.

Howard wasnt even saving shots.

Stekelenberg was never supposed to be the number one GK for us.

So why is he? We had the whole summer to get a new keeper in. He played well in the first two games and I think that's what made Koeman think there wasn't a need for another number one. Howard was just as poor as Stek has been over the past few games.
