Its true though, these keepers who have yoyo form game to game frighten the defence. We saw it last season with Howard and are seeing it again with stek.

howard's performances certainly didn't yoyo last season, they were the rock at the bottom of the ocean.

It's the small round thing everybody chases around. Apart from Lukaku. He waits for it.

I would prefer a consistent 6-7/10 player like Joel at this moment over Stek, who is 9/10 some games and then about 2/10 some others.

You can have inconsistency in a handful of positions, but not the keeper. Our defenders are defending pretty well and we're currently undermining that with goalkeeping howlers every 2nd or 3rd game.

i'm a fan of joel, but in no way is he better than stekelenburg, nor will he ever be imo. I think stek does most of the basics right to be honest. WTF he did for that first goal v burnley i have absolutely no idea and yesterday again was a mistake, but joel is not great at crosses or shots from distance, he doesn't fill me with confidence whereas stek looks a lot more confident in such situations.

i refuse to believe he was brought in to be no.1, i think koeman was telling porkies as knocking him before he'd have made his debut wouldn't have done anyone any favours.

You basing that on his clean sheet? Robles is much better then Stek, you just cant keep your shirt when we are letting as many goals in, fault or not or making the amount of mistakes he has made over the last few weeks, terrible keeper who is finished, maybe as well of kept Howard.

Don't think he was at fault today but nowhere near good enough for top 6. A perfect player for us.
