I would prefer a consistent 6-7/10 player like Joel at this moment over Stek, who is 9/10 some games and then about 2/10 some others.

You can have inconsistency in a handful of positions, but not the keeper. Our defenders are defending pretty well and we're currently undermining that with goalkeeping howlers every 2nd or 3rd game.

And? His confidence is not our primary concern. His performances in the goal are what is important.

I think he needs taken out of the firing line for the time being because the pressure will be even greater on him now and every little mistake he makes will be magnified.....and the big mistakes will cost us goals as we have seen on too many occasions already this season.

If Koeman is trying to get the message across to the squad "perform or you will be dropped" there are can't be any favouritism shown to players he has brought in or the whole concept is undermined.

My point is that Stek does the basics good enough to deserve to stay in until the new keeper is signed, even taking into account the odd mistake he's made whilst betwixt the sticks for us

Robles is in no way better in my eyes, so Stek stays in

Its true though, these keepers who have yoyo form game to game frighten the defence. We saw it last season with Howard and are seeing it again with stek.

He was never in a million years get the ball yesterday, he should also have know if you are going to give someone the chance to beat you in those circumstances, Ibrahimovic will.
