I assume he's not our first choice because I'm applying logic to the situation. Koeman has moved to a bigger club with more money because he wants to win trophies. The chances of him signing somebody who was second choice at his previous club to be first choice in his new big project seem incredibly remote.

I didn't say he was third choice, you did! I was referring to the likelihood of any good keeper coming here to be third choice, you then mentioned stekelenburg not minding being a back up at Southampton. I think he'll be second choice behind a new keeper, and I think he's about as good a back up keeper as you could get.

Common said we need 3 keepers pushing each other right? Well Joel & Stek are an alright start.

I've never been able to even look at our back up keepers because they've always been awful.
 
He is a sound signing. Will do a job if called upon but his value may be his experience and his influence around the other keepers at the club. More a good housekeeping type of a signing.

Definitely. Be arsed getting all moody over the signing of an experienced reserve keeper.

He's fine. His Mrs is finer like!
 

Don't understand anyone having a problem with this transfer. As backup keepers go can you ask for much more. Very experienced, played in a World Cup final, cost virtually nothing. It isn't exactly Carlo Nash on deadline day is it?
