You just aren't listening to me are you. I am not talking about Software. I am talking about hardware. I don't care how good your 'sexy' Mac looks. THEY ARE PC's. All Apple do is take away your upgradability to ensure you have to come back and buy a while new machine when yours doesn't suffice anymore, and then stuff it into their white proprietary cases.

What you have to understand Ghost, is I am an electronics tech. I do hardware down to a component level. Your Mac is functionally identical to a PC. Long gone are the Motorola Power-PC processors, now they are x86 based Intel's.

You say that you would never go back to PC's? Well mate YOU HAVE!!! Just an expensive one. I think your statement should read "I am not going back to Windows".

Ah but back in the day I would refer to my machine as a Dell or whatever. I don't call my mp3 player an mp3 player, its an iPod. Its like a hoover has now been replaced by a Dyson.

I am a designer, I work on branding and development of products. An Apple is more impressive because of the work behind it. But it is Apple, it has an Intel chip, but that was never exclusive.

But you are right about Windows.

Yeah, but trust me Steve is laughing more than Bill at the moment. Lots of talk that Microsoft is on the way down.

I mean there will always be Apple, but Google is trumping Microsoft.

Honestly, Macs are better, in my opinion, they look better, perform better, better for media, music, editing, more powerful, better operating system (imo) although i do like vista too...

...The only problem with Macs are teh games, you have to buy them specially for macs, and they are harder to find that the normal pc games...

I'm on a vista operated PC now (wife's new one). Although I hate Windows anyway, this OS is pretty [Poor language removed] compared to her last one, which was XP. I can't make head nor tail of it to be honest. I'm even having trouble loading some printer software.

Now OSX is a dream in comparison.

XP was a mature OS (ie an evolution of Win 95 and Win 98), Vista is all new. No excuse though, the SP1 for Vista is what it should have been at release.
