Saha out for another month.

Not too bothered. Our formation is working at the moment. Why ruin a good thing? Despite Saha being a quality finisher, we have played great football recently - even if we aren't scoring alot of goals.

A couple of matches i was supposed to go to over the past week have been cancelled because of the pitch, so hopefully that wont happen with Macclesfield...

...This is the toughest obstacle - because we always tend to play [Poor language removed] against the bad teams.

Castillo is injured as well. Gosling and Rodwell to start then i guess. Hopefully Jack can get on the scoresheet this weekend then.(y)

Not to worried about this game to be honest, I'm expecting a strong side and our strongest side will cruise a game like this. The composure I've seen over the past month or so has been superb, the football is the best I've ever seen under Moyes. We are controlling games and with Mikky in the midfield I think we should win comfortably.

Shame about Saha (you where right HB) sadly he's just a very unlucky striker. We definatly need a striker in and we need one fast. Someone who can score goals and has decent pedigree.

I'd play Anichebe over Fellaini for this one, we can't afford to get Fellaini booked as he's a must in the Derby. Victor can come in and do a job and maybe Gosling in for Ossie. The back four should stay the same so we have a solid base to build on.

3-0 win for me. Anichebe, Cahill and Baines getting the goals.

This will sound somewhat naive but do we really?

As you said yourself, we are playing the best football in years and from a more negative perspective, that could well be because we have six midfielders on the pitch.

Of course it is undeniable that we do need a striker in the long run, and can't go without for the rest of the season but in all honesty, I don't think it is all so necessary for us to rush in and get the first one available.

As for the game, if Moyes puts a strong enough team out, which I am confident he will do given the situation, then it should be a comfortable win.

2-0.

Hopefully Anichebe gets a goal and some confidence and the second can be another Arteta free kick, 45 yards out this time.

We need a striker, because sooner or later teams are going to learn how to adapt to our style of play. Its working and worked because teams cant pick up our strikers, so Cahill and Fellaini have got a lot of space to work in. We need strikers for when it stops working, yes its working at the moment and working well, but it wont take other teams long to find a way to stop it.

We should have signed a striker already. So far we've been very fortunate that Cahill is such an adaptable player. What if he gets injured?

With the pitch being so hard tomorrow, and his foot being a bit iffy on landing, I think he will be rested for that reason tomorrow.

So he will be fit for Hull and by the match with the [Poor language removed], we should definitely have a loanee striker in :)

I do think we need a striker, even if it's just for backup and someone who can give us another option.

Our football in my opinion has nothing to do with having six midfielders on the pitch, it's not like where actually playing 4-6-0. We are playing 4-5-1 with Cahill/Fellaini playing as strikers. Sometimes 4-4-2 during games when they both lead the line.

With a proper centre forward I think we’d have scored a lot more goals, considering the chances we’ve created. We are lucky we have players who are good at set pieces because from open play we aren’t putting the ball in the back of the net enough.

Fellaini and Cahill are battering rams and they’ll be a handful for most defences but they don’t have the natural instinct of centre forwards, there movement off the ball and inside the box especially. I saw Arteta continually getting on the ball in the middle of the park against Sunderland and looking for movement, there was nothing there at times.

Our performers against Spurs and Aston Villa where both played with natural strikers, we still bossed both midfield’s and our performances was very good.
