Maddie McCann - 100 days

On Saturday it will mark the 100th day that little Madeleine McCann has been missing when she was taken from her hotel apartment in Portugal.

Of course Madeleine is an Everton fan and the club wore shirts with her face on as they walked out at Stamford Bridge.

Maybe it would be nice for the club to have something lined up come saturday for her and also the Everton fan from Huyton who was murdered on his way home.

I love the way our club comes as a family at times like this.

We did make a show when she was abducted, that showed that Everton as a club cares about what happens in the world. Would be a nice gesture to start the season of with doing something similar.. to show we haven't forgotten about her and that what we did wasn't just for the PR or anything.

Theres been plenty of publicity around Maddie, amazing considering its not rare a child goes missing. 1000's of children go missing each year in the uk and are never found so if Everton are to help raise awareness about missing children, maybe it would be best to help raise awareness about other children who people dont know about?

If the Everton side walk out on Saturday with Maddie on their shirts, i'd be surprised if any of the 40k fans didnt already know her so what would be the point?

With it being the premier league aswell, its not really publicising her but keeping her name alive and in the minds of people, show her family that the club is still praying for her safe return.

Shes 5 now. Plenty of children around that age go missing. In my initial post, I said 1000's of children go missing each year in the uk, its not rare. I was 100% right. Go and ask the home office.

Ah right, thought she recently had a birthday to make her 5 shortly after being abducted, must have been to make her 4 then.

Basically, 1000's of children go missing each year in the uk. Many of which never found. It doesnt matter if they are 4,5,6,7,8,9,10 etc, they are still children who have gone missing. Maddie has had plenty of publicity, Everton cant do much more to help, but they could help another missing child who people wouldn't have seen or even heard of.

I know what you mean Danny, my heart goes out to anyone who loses their child, I'm sure most will agree and its probably wrong but when the picture shown her in a little everton shirt, you took it to heart abit more, like she was part of our big family.
