No of course not, thats not what I meant. The media have made a point of displaying her in an Everton top. So imagine if Everton just ignored it. I mean do you see Colchester United players going out with Maddy tops on?

Of course Everton are right to help publicize it, what I am saying is, doing so again against the likes of Wigan would be a bit of a waste when theres other children who could do with the publicity a lot more.

I've given my opinion. I am going to leave it there.

Yeah but maybe because they have done so much for her so far, and in a time when she still needs to be found, they are right to campaign.

I don't think you can gauge a child's life against the opposition and the possible media attention.

But we are not in the business of looking for children, the media have forced this upon the club, the same way it would be forced on Man U or Arsenal if the kid was a fan of that club.

I'm sure if there are children missing the police and interpol are doing their utmost to find them, but this is a special situation because of how the media have played it.

reading all this, i cant help thinking of a specific 'family guy' episode.

i will find the episode number later.

basically, (and i hope you all know i hold the so called parents in utter disregard) would the media have spun this out with such fervour if madelaine hadnt been white and british.

dont mistake the above for anything, id like her reunited with her siblings and given a strong family unit that care absolutley about all three.

Also, id like the individual or individuals responsible for snatching her whilst her parents were getting pissed up the road to face real justice, the kind of justice served up in the middle east.

Read in papers here that the locals in the village where she was abducted is trying to get her parents to leave since they give their city a bad reputation and scare away other tourists.

There has to be a point when you say, enough is enough, she's not here.

But I can't understand how they have only found blood in her apartment this week.

Regardless of the ins and outs of whether she has too much media attention or whether others have not enough.

I just want her to be found safe and well, and soon.

Did the players do anything on the matchday? Reason I ask is because I saw that Sunderland and Tottenham did.

I think it is about time that this unpalatable story was resurrected in view of the latest developments

http://news.aol.co.uk/madeleines-dna-found-in-car-boot/article/20070911034609990001

I hope and pray that this news is not true and that a mistake has been made but the findings have been produced from Labs in the UK. Incidentally I find it to be absolute waste of time that AOL sensationalises this terrible case by having a vote on the effectiveness of the Portuguese police, it just cannot help anyone but that is the bloody UK media for you

As far as the McCanns are concerned things look very bleak I'm sad to say, as for little Madeoline hope is now fading fast:angry:

While I have suspected the parents from day one I am a bit confused as to why the media have failed to suggest that whoever had the car before the McCanns could be guilty.

The results prove that the girl's body was in the boot of the car, which was not hired until 25 days after she went missing, the sources said.

I mean... it would have been awfully difficult for her parents to escape the media to somehow get her body from 'X' and put her in the boot of that hired car 25 days after she went missing.

words fail me. these parents seem to have convinced themselves they are innocent. looks bleak now. if the police could find the body then all the pieces should fit together. i'm sure the parents are guilty.

That's exactly what I thought when I heard about that. Surely it would be quite easy to trace who had the hire car at the time she went missing.

Im not so sure- like Danny said there was a big media circus almost straight away. People were watching their every move and a car they hired 25 days after?! They must have been Harry Hoodini to get her out.
