Going to be another slog. Never thought I'll be lamenting missing 39yo Ashley Young but here we are. Coleman I guess will come in. As much as I love Seamus it's a shame Patto isn't given a chance here. Generally Sean must freshen up the team a bit with all the fixtures over the festive period. I'd get Broja in and bench DCL. Jesper in too for me just because of how Harrison missed that sitter.

If this team starts, we might have a chance. As it'll be Harrison and Calvert Lewin, we won't

Dyche's Everton the perfect foil here for Man City. 4-0 . Perhaps, even by half time.
Nah I think we might surprise a few people here, City are a mess at the moment, whatever combo Pep tries isn't working and I think if we can keep it tight at the back then we might be able to nick something from this.

Pickford

Coleman — Tarkowski —- Branthwaite —- Myko

Mangala ———— Gana

Doucoure

Lindstrom —————————— Ndiaye

Broja
Said to a fella sat by us in the ground you could pick next weeks team and barring injuries, it's the same every week. If McNeil is fit he plays instead of Lindstrom, Young can't play because he's banned. The changes will be made between the 70 and 73rd minute. The man is so predictable it's untrue. If Broja plays it means DCL is probably leaving during the transfer window.

It's a big ask for us to continue to maintain defensive discipline as we have been doing even considering City's desperate form. I hope it's not the sort of game where there is a tired collapse from us in that respect.

I don't think it will be, but still feel we are more likely than not to end up losing this.

I honestly don't know what to think. Read all ten pages so far and every contradictory point seems to make sense.

They're low on confidence and there to be got at. However our defensive solidity is based heavily on setting up to defend.
We can cause them problems, but we miss a lot of chances.

I'm trying to remember al their recent defeats. Obviously the most clear is the last one. City couldn't handle Villa's strength (we can do that) and pace (forget it) but they combined that with some guile (What's that?) and good finishing (never heard of it).

After checking the other results, the teams that beat them tend to have pace, technique, good finishers and are prepared to bully them. Throw in a bit of good luck (Utd signing Nunes at half time* and Spurs being their bogey team) and you can see a clear formula for beating City.

*That penalty, well we know there's no way we get that at the Etihad.

So we bully them.
