Man City fans leaving early

Are Man City fans wrong to leave early because they are fed up?

Not a fan of anyone leaving early, winning or losing - support your team.

City are everything that's wrong with football especially all their "new" fans. Kid who plays for my nephews under 10's side is a City fan, constantly in City kits. He's from Netherley and his mum and dad are from Halewood and both kopites. The closet connection the family have got Manchester is they went the Trafford Centre Christmas shopping.

I actually feel sorry for the few City die-hards, as much as winning is great it must be awful watching the hoppers on (And loads of ex United fans)around you. Japanese/Chinese tourists in some of the best seats who wouldn't have been able to point Moss Side out on a map until they started wining everything.

Brilliant side to watch but I hate them for ruining the game, same with Newcastle. At least United, Arsenal and the rs have a history/legacy of winning silverware. City and Newcastle fans now gloat on like their the biggest side ever. We've got a deeper and more loyal fanbase than City by far.

You can stick your faux sympathy where the sun doesn't shine. Don't need it, don't want it. You can also stick your history nonsense. City have a long and storied history and historically have always been a big club.

You can stick your waffle, City were never one of the "big clubs" until you won the lottery and got given a stadium built for the commonwealth games.

Even now with all the money in the world nobody cares when City win anything because it's bought by Saudi Arabia. Robinho hadn't even heard of you.

You cry harder and I'll get the lube and tissues.

The Mansour family are from Abu Dhabi in the UAE, nowhere near Saudi

And so what if they got gifted the Etihad, better that than have the stadium go to rot like most city councils would have done post Games

Yep I stand corrected about their owners. Still, it's all a money job. My point about the stadium is they became more attractive as a result of being gifted it.

It wasn't gifted. We gave them maine rd in return and paid for all the work to change it into a football stadium, and we still pay £5M per year rent for it. Would you rather it sat there empty and eventually demolished like Don Valley?

No, I'm glad it gets used but the fact remains it was gifted and the knock on effect was that you then became an investible option to super rich owners and won the lottery.
